Pellet Stove Auger

By admin | Feb 3, 2010

Heating is important in many cold countries. There are different varieties of heaters from coal burners to electric heaters. A very effective way of heating your home is by using a pellet stove. A pellet stove is a machine that creates heat by burning pellets. These pellets are usually made of biomass or wood. The pellets are fed into the burning area via a pellet stove auger. The pellet stove auger transfers the pellets from the hopper at different speeds depending on how much heat is needed. One of the main advantages of using a pellet stove is the fact that it demands no constant attention. Once the stove is started it burns at a constant rate.

The pellet stove originated in the state of Washington in the 1980’s. However, their value is greatly underestimated today. Pellet stoves have many benefits. The main advantage of using a pellet stove is the fact that you need not worry about constantly checking if you need to adjust the temperature of your home. Pellet stoves are controlled by a thermostat and they automatically switch themselves on and off depending on the surrounding temperature. The pellet stove auger motor is one of the most important components of a pellet stove. This is because the pellet stove auger motor is the part of the machine that transfers the pellets from the storage chamber to the burn pot. In order to ensure that your pellet stove is always in optimum condition you should use high grade pellets. These pellets produce less ash than low grade pellets and therefore, keep your pellet stove in optimum working condition. Proper maintenance is required to keep the storage container and pellet stove auger motor in good working condition. It is always recommended that you follow the maintenance requirements of the manufacturer.

To properly maintain the storage container, make sure that all the fuel is burned before adding new pellets. This will prevent sawdust from building up in the storage container. Hence, the pellet stove auger will not get blocked by excess sawdust that is collected in the container. When the stove is not going to be used, you should empty the storage container and vacuum it to remove any remaining dust and pellet debris.

A pellet stove is an extremely efficient heater that does not have to be constantly monitored. Using one will being you many benefits as many states do not even have sales tax on pellet fuel!
